A really good day
August 20, 2008

Today is one of those days where it seems like everything goes right.

Before bed I read some emails that made me smile huge. It's so wonderful to have people back in my life who understand and appreciate me.

This morning my ultrasound went okay. I got my hair cut, and they did a good job (actual layers rather than just angling), though my hair is still kinda lifeless these days. Thinking of getting a perm or some color. Maybe a glaze.

Shawn and I went out on a date and were feeling positive enough to talk about baby stuff - whether we want to know the sex (yes), secondary names because of Shawn's obsession with twins (Rose and Chris), and whether anyone would make the trip across state for the delivery (probably not).

We had really good food at Angelino's. A little pricey ($50 for Shawn's soda, two meals, salads, bread, cheese sticks, and a 25% tip), but they bring you enough for leftovers for a week. And we stopped for dessert at Baskin-Robbins.

Then we came home to find out insurance paid for our baseline ultrasound. We'll see if they pay for the ones today and Sunday. If they do I'll be amazed and overjoyed. It'll let us stuff all this money away for injectibles cycles ($2k per) if we need them, or paying our $400 Genzyme bill without having to go back into debt if we don't.

The one thing that went wrong was Blockbuster sending us the wrong disc. Again. As much as I like the coupons, I'm getting really tired of their shitty service.

But if you could see me today, you'd see I'm glowing.
