Is it just me or do our choices for Attorney General bite? I'll vote for Campbell because McCollum voted to ban gay adoptions, and because, hey, I'm a Democrat, but they both suck. Both are pro-death penalty. Campbell's "Scarlet Letter" law was just twitsted. I'm all for father's rights, and doubly so for protecting adoptive families from a father coming back and asserting rights later, but that was not the way, especially with no provision for rape victims.
On the other hand, I like both candidates for district 45 state representative. Anderson is moderate on social issues, fiscally conservative, and was the mayor of Dunedin. Hrabovsky is very anti-big box and pro-environment. In the end I'll probably vote Anderson (gasp, a Republican), because of the experience factor (Hrabovsky has none).
Other than that, I'll be voting Nelson, Davis, Simpson, Sink, Copeland, Hellinger, Siracusa, and O'Flannery (O'Shea is backed by the Republican party and has never been a teacher). I'll vote to retain of all the supreme court and appeals court justices. Yes on constitutional amendments 1, 4, 6, & 7. No on 3 & 8. Yes on all county questions.
Going to try to get out and early vote at our library in a bit. Shame I don't trust any of this to count with the dumbass Diebold machines. I've already heard stories of people voting for Davis and Crist coming up on their confirmation screens. Sigh.
